Vietnam, Vietnam..
After speding 2 days in Ho Chi Min city, I moved to Hanoi yesterday. Hanoi is cooler and find more ethnic Chinese dominance compared to Ho Chi Min (or Saigon). Ho Chi Min is those one of South-East Asian country. Moderate weather, tropical fruit, and easy-going + slow-paced life. Cyclo drivers keep sticky to you even they know they can't make business with you. Hanoi is more like China. Pelple's face, driving, city design, etc. People here speak kind of Putonghua, so that's my last resort for communication when English doesn't work. Yes, Hanoi is next to China, and even closer than Hainan Island.
Altough the two cities are unique, people living there are still different from mainland Chinese. I continuously encounter people with big smile and poor business skill. In mainland China, if you are not business savvy, that's hard for you to survive. Even the cyclo driver tries to play a trick on me when he ended up with only 3 destination against 4 destination we had agreed, I still have a bargaining power as HE DIDN'T ASK ME PAY IN ADVANCE!! Ask for payinng in advance is crucial in bargaining in China. Letting customer pay later heavily depends on the customer's conscience. That's mainland-business-non-no.
Anyway, anyhow, I'm enjoying crusing in the city. Probably I don't endevor to the beach resort. I will move to Hoi An and My Son that position around central of Vietnam. As heading down to south, I wish I can get out of chilly weather here...
